Abstract: Tourism in Greece is characterized mostly by a mass form of tourism. The employees in Greek hotels represent a diversity of job specializations and functions. Seasonal employment is viewed as a “problem” for the workers involved in the seasonal market for a variety of reasons. To upgrade the quality of tourism services a significant investment in the training and production of qualified and specialized persons is required. Employee strategy starts with the recruitment, but also includes conditions of service, communications, training and reward strategies. The quality services are important for customer’s loyalty.
